Over Boothlow is a grade II listed, secluded, south facing, farmhouse with far reaching views, situated half a mile from the B5053 and about a mile from Longnor village.

The area is a beautiful quiet unspoilt green valley with the River Manifold running through it and the River Dore running to the north of Longnor. Longnor had its heyday in the 1850's when it was a successful market village, there are still family run farms in the area.

The house is three storeys:
Ground floor - has a dining kitchen (25' X 15') with an electric cooker; and a sitting room(15' X 15') with a wood burning stove. There is no downstairs cloakroom.
First floor - has one en suite twin, one en suite king, one twin and a private bathroom.
Second floor - has one king and one twin with a shared shower room.

The house sleeps ten or with the top floor closed off, six.

The garden is south facing with flower beds and garden furniture. The views are down the Manifold Valley with the Staffordshire Moorlands on the horizon. The views are one of the best features of the property. Lapwings and skylarks can be heard in the summer. There is also a barbecue and children's swing.

Further to the immediate garden are 40 acres of agricultural meadowland, the meadows are mown for silage in July. There is river frontage of the River Manifold across the meadows.

Dogs may be brought by arrangement and it is preferred that they stay and sleep out of the house in a comfortable outbuilding. We kindly ask that a poopa scooper is used in the yard and garden and a dog lead is used when walking through livestock.

There are walks directly from the house in all directions. If you do distances of 15 miles or more, there are sufficient walks for a week without using a car. There are books in the house giving a comprehensive list of all Derbyshire walks.
